Leonor Teixeira graduated in Industrial Engineering and Management, received a M.Sc. degree in Information Management, and a PhD in Industrial Management (Information Systems area), in 2008, from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. She is currently an Assistant Professor of the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism (DEGEIT) at the University of Aveiro. She is also a researcher (Integrated Member) at the Institute of Electronics and Telematics Engineering (IEETA) and collaborator at research unit on Competitiveness, Governance and Public Policies (GOVCOPP) of University of Aveiro. Her current research interests include Industrial Management in general, and in Information Systems applied to Industry in particular. She has over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and proceedings, and has several communications at international scientific conferences, some of which as invited speaker. She serves as a member of Program Board and Organizing Committees for several Scientific Committees of International Conferences and has collaborated as reviewer with many journals. She is associated with IIIS, IEEE Society, EMBS Society, and PTAIS.

António Joaquim da Silva Teixeira is Associate Professor at University of Aveiro Electronics Telecommunications and Informatics Department. He received his BSc and Master in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in 1991 and 1993, and his PhD in Electronics Engineering in 2000, all from the University of Aveiro, Portugal.
He is Chair of the Special Interest Group on Iberian Languages of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA). Director of the Master in Speech and Hearing Sciences from 2004 to 2015.
His main research activity is in the area of Multimodal Human-Machine Interaction and Speech Processing. He is/was involved in several national funded research (LUL, AAL4ALL, Smartphones for Smart Seniors) and in European projects (Marie Curie IAP IRIS, AAL PaeLIFE), has supervised 9 concluded PhDs and 51 Masters, supervises several PhD projects and co-authored more than two hundred publications (books, book chapters, international journals and proceedings of international conferences).

Samuel Silva graduated in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in 2003, completed an MSc in the same area in 2007, and obtained his PhD in Informatics Engineering in 2012, all by University of Aveiro. His research interests span the field of Human-Centered Technologies favouring a translational approach articulating experimental research, to understand human behaviour, user-centric design and development methodologies, Data and Information Visualization, and Human Computer Interaction with an emphasis on Multimodal Interaction. He has (co-) authored several publications in international peer reviewed journals, book chapters and conferences and has been actively involved in several national and international R&D projects and multidisciplinary collaborations.
